Lafayette " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Thomas Guidry the former Bernice Talbot, 92, will be held at 12:00PM on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Louis Richard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. A native of Lafayette Parish and a resident Broussard, Mrs. Guidry died at 2:22AM on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at a Lafayette Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Jane Menard and her husband Lester of Lafayette, and Sandra Dahl and her husband Erick of Lafayette; a sister, Joycelyn Girouard and her husband Ned of Broussard; seven grandchildren, and thirteen Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Guidry; parents, Edgar and Bella Broussard Talbot; a daughter, Shirley Guilbeau; a sister, Attie Girouard; and three brothers, Stanley Talbot, Sanford Talbot, and Clifford Talbot. Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Dahl, Erick Dahl, John Falcon, Don Girouard, Renee Hayes and Billy Stanley. Serving during the Mass will be Donna Stanley and Christine Falcon as readers. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
