Dorothy Breaux Hebert

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Dorothy Breaux Dot Hebert, Age 86, at 10:30AM Wednesday January 26, 2011 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Musical selections will be played by Karen Guidry. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday January 25, 2011 from 2:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Abbeville and longtime resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. Hebert died Saturday January 22, 2011 at 12:38PM at Belle Teche Nursing Center. Mrs. Dot was owner/operator of Dots Beauty Shop for 30 years. She was happiest holding Court in her kitchen, cooking for her family and friends. She was always ready for a game of Gin Rummy or Bouree. The family would especially like to give special thanks to Mary Joyce and Romo Romero, Dr. Burt Bujard, Hospice Compassus and finally the entire staff of Belle Teche Nursing Center for their exemplary care and devotion shown to their loved one. Survivors include her sons Blaine H. Hebert and wife Pat and Craig P. Hebert both of New Iberia; one brother; Huey Breaux of Lafayette; grandchildren, Heather H. Robino and Kara Hebert both of Youngsville, Bucky Hebert and wife Andrea of Broussard and Holly Hebert and friend Michelle Mendoza of Petaluma, California; great grandchildren, Gage, Micah and Alexis Robino, Ava Sanders, Kameron Arceneaux and Breighan Hebert all of Youngsville; one nephew, Henry Breaux and wife Melissa of North Carolina and two nieces, Marguerite Potier and husband Benjie of Lafayette and Marie-Anne Breaux of New York. She was preceded in death by her first husband James P. Hebert; second husband, Loyce H. Derouen; parents, Henry Joseph and Argentine Bailleau Breaux and a son, Gordon James Hebert. Pallbearers will be Blaine H., Bucky and Craig Hebert, Gage and Micah Robino, Beau Comeaux and Henry Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Holly, Kara and Pat Hebert, Heather Robino and Ulysse, Joey and Barbara Lopez David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St. New Iberia, La.
