Charles Willard Keller

Lafayette " Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Willard Keller, 91, will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Broussard with Pastor Weldon Moak officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Broussard from 8:30AM until service time. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in New Iberia. A native of Palmetto, LA and a resident of Jennings, Mr. Keller passed away at 11:55AM on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home. Mr. Keller proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. The flag that is displayed on his casket is the flag that was flown over Pearl Harbor on his birthday. After Mr. Kellers retirement, he spent the majority of his time serving his church, First Baptist Church of Broussard. He is survived by his sister, Geraldine Dean of Clinton, TN; six sons, Wayne Keller and his wife Linda of Midland, TX, Kenny Keller and his wife Nancy of Dry Prong, LA, Vernon Keller and his wife Cheryl of Lafayette, John Keller and his wife Mary of Lafayette, Warren Keller and his wife Susan of Lafayette and Todd Keller of Norwood, LA; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Gladys Bordelon, Elizabeth Keller and Patricia Keller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Brinkley Keller; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. M.W. Keller; and two brothers, Harold M. Keller and Donald W. Keller. Serving as pallbearers will be his six sons, Wayne Keller, Kenny Keller, Vernon Keller, John Keller, Warren Keller and Todd Keller. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, David Keller, Tim Keller, Ben Keller, Stuart Keller, Ryan Keller, Austin Keller, Paul Keller and Will Keller. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home and Heart of Hospice for the exceptional care they provided to Mr. Keller.
