Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Robert Baudoin the former Shiray Schexnaider, 69, will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native of Abbeville and a resident of Erath Mrs. Baudoin died at 5:16PM on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at her residence after a long battle with cancer. She worked at Bares Department Store for 12 years, was a seamstress, and enjoyed working at The Wild Iris. Shiray enjoyed spending time with family and friends; and McNeese football games. She was active in Life Teen, Catholic Daughters, 4th of July Association, and the Backers Club. She is survived by her husband Robert J. Baudoin of Erath; six daughters, Tracey Broussard and her husband Kirk of Henry, Sailor Dartez and her husband Leo, Jr., of Kaplan, Robbie Boutte and her husband Howard of Kaplan, Justine Simon and her husband Chad of Delcambre, Alison Meaux and her husband Allen Moe of Erath, and Autumn Pommier and her husband Mitch of Erath; nine grandchildren, Jude Baudoin and wife Jessica, Garrett Broussard and fiance' Mary Romero, Taylor Broussard, Kyle Dartez, Ashley Arabie, Ross Arabie, Louis Dreyer, April Meaux, and Heath Meaux; five great grandchildren, Kelsey Dreyer, Mason Dreyer, Kipton Dreyer, Talan Mallet, and Paige Mallet; two sisters, Agnes Rodrigue and Beryl Gaudet; and a brother, Clarence "Ky" Landry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eluc Schexnaider and Elvina Lee Conner; five sisters, Irene Landry, Ella May, Ara Mae Hughes, Grace Tudory, and Beverly Schexnaider; and three brothers, Ernest Landry, Hubert Landry, and Herbert "Buck" Landry. Serving as pallbearers will be Jude Baudoin, Louis Dreyer, Garrett Broussard, Heath Meaux, Taylor Broussard, and Ross Arabie. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Kyle Dartez. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Concepts of Care for their help during Mrs. Shiray's illness. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
