Erath " Funeral Services for Mr.Nolan Joseph LeBlanc, 87 will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 10:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Mr. LeBlanc a native of Abbeville and a resident of Erath died at 12:30PM on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at a local health care facility. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Mr. Nolan had been employed as a foreman with the Louisiana DOT Highway Department for thirty-one years before his retirement. Mr. Nolan served his country honorably in the Army from 1940 to 1945 during World War II. He is survived by his grandchildren, Corey Lemaire of Delcambre, Demetria Connor, Dexter Richard and Fallon Richard of Erath, Katherine Matte Cope and George LeBlanc of Abbeville, Celeste Fontelle of Baton Rouge, Amanda K. Peacock of Maurice; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Hebert LeBlanc; his parents, Willie and Elise Abshire LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be member of the family and friends. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St. (337)937-0405 is handling the arrangements.
