Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial for Ronald F. Voisin, 68, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at St. Eloi Church in Theriot with Fr. Florentino Santiago officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume Saturday, April 16, 2011 at St. Eloi Church in Theriot from 9:30 AM at until time of service. Interment will follow in St. Eloi Cemetery. A native of Houma and a resident of Lafayette, Ronald passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at his residence. He was a pioneer and entrepreneur in the Oil Industry; a member of the Lions Club; and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Ronnie loved life and lived it to its fullest. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joanne Jaccuzzo Voisin of Lafayette; two sons, Brent Joseph Voisin and his wife Kerri of Youngsville and Sam Anthony Voisin and and his wife Jennifer of Shreveport; four grandchildren, Kellie Sue, Victoria Lynn, Cody Joseph, and Jacob Anthony Voisin; one brother, Nolan Voisin of Theriot; and three sisters, Ruth Grabert of Raceland, Gloria Champagne and Ethel Brunet both of Theriot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyprien Voisin and Theresa Dupre Voisin; brothers Chester Voisin, Sr, Wilbert Voisin, Andy Voisin, Ray Voisin, and Ruby Voisin.
