Christopher J. Legnon

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, from 9:00 AM until services with a rosary being prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 AM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Christopher passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 11:33 AM in a New Iberia hospital.

He was a welder at the Port of Iberia. He loved remote control cars, classic cars, Nascar Racing and fishing. He was also a Saints Football Fan.

He is survived by his paternal grandmother, Nedra Legnon of New Iberia; his sister, Lynn Cormier and her husband Stern of Erath; his niece and godchild, Kailey Thomas and her husband Garrett of Erath; his nephew, Chase Legnon of Erath; his maternal step-grandfather, James Myers of Coteau; his aunts, Sharrel Lorenzo and her husband Frank of New Orleans, Charlene Boudreaux and her husband Daniel of New Iberia and Jeanie McGhee of Erath; his uncles, Larry Dale Dore of Erath and Wayne Legnon of New Iberia and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry James Legnon and Deanna Schexnayder Legnon; his paternal grandfather, Elton Legnon; his maternal grandmother, Gladys Schexnayder Myers and his maternal grandfather, Dalton Schexnayder.

Pallbearers will be Todd Dore, Clint Dore, Daniel Boudreaux, Brad Boudreaux, Carl Lejeune and Frank Lorenzo.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Legnon and Stern Cormier.
