Jean Thibodeaux

ABBEVILLE "A private memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at David Funeral Home for Jean Doris Thibodeaux, 71, who passed away Monday, January 6, 2014. Ms. Thibodeaux, a resident of Abbeville, was the daughter of the late Lloyd Thibodeaux and the late Euna McGee Thibodeaux, both of Eunice. She is survived by her companion of over 20 years, Tom Landry; two daughters, Jeanne Davidson (and her husband James), Nona Istre (and her husband Mike); four grandchildren, Cory Etheredge, Kelsey Etheredge, Gabriel Pate and Joshua Pate; one brother, Charles Thibodeaux (and his wife Linda); one nephew, Trae Thibodeaux; and one niece, Candace Thibodeaux Guilbeau (and her husband Andre). She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Ms. Jean (the name by which she was known) was a legal secretary for over 50 years. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and especially sharing her love of billiards with her companion Tom. Over the years she won many awards from both the American Pool Association (APA) and World Pool Association (WPA). She participated in local, regional and statewide competitions.
