New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Khamsone Khamphilavong, the former Maly Ackhasivone, 69, on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 12:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phaysans Sengsourivong officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 28, 2013, from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and resume on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 8:00 AM until services. A native of Nakhone Phanom, Thailand and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Khamphilavong passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at 8:58 AM in a New Iberia hospital. She loved gardening, cooking, going to the casino and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Khamsone Khamphilavong of New Iberia; her sons, Keo Khamphilavong and his wife Monique, Simone Khamphilavong, Phetsamone Khamphilavong, Southikone Khamphilavong all of New Iberia, Phouton Khamphilavong and his wife Michelle of Broussard, Bounpone Khamphilavong of Denham Springs and Velot Khamphilavong of New Iberia; her daughters, Somphone Hand and her husband Vincent of Old Hickory, TN and Chanthachone Grazes of Hendersonville, TN; her brother, Nigne Ackhasivone of Thailand; her sister, Muk Ackhasivone of Thailand; eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kamkong and Nangthone Ackhasivone; her son, Sakhone Khamphilavong; her brothers, One, Long and Lam Ackhasivone and her sister, Kheme Ackhasivone. Pallbearers will be Keo, Phouton, Bounpone, Kyle, Phetsamone and Velot Khamphilavong. David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter St. (337) 369-6336 is in charge of arrangements.
