May Ella Rogers

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 8:00 AM until services.

A native of Arnaudville and a resident of Franklin, Mrs. Rogers died on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 2:40 AM at her residence.

She is survived by her daughters, Olga Guidry and her husband Calvin of Franklin, Ella Mae Verret and her husband Davis, Nora Carline and her husband Charles, Elvina Landry and her husband Nolan, Diane Leger and her husband Isadore all of Jeanerette, Angeline Songne and her husband Chester, Janice Parker and her husband John all of New Iberia and Leontine Marie Rogers of Franklin; her sons, Alvin J. Rogers and his wife JoAnn of Franklin, Eddie Rogers and his wife Trisha of Livingston and Clint A. Rogers and his wife Linda of Jeanerette; her sisters, Emily Rogers of New Iberia and Bebia Patin of Breaux Bridge. She is also survived by 53 grandchildren, 118 great grandchildren and 51 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Theo Rogers; her parents, Rene and Leontine Landry Lormand; her daughter, Linda Landry, four brothers and four sisters.

Pallbearers will be John Gauthier, Dennis Verret, Jeffery Songne, Remb Landry, Kenneth Carline and Paul Rogers.
