Lafayette " Funeral services for Francis Phil Phillips, 74, will be held Thursday February 6, 2014 at 11:30 AM at First Baptist Church of Broussard, with Pastor Weldon Moak, Pastor of First Baptist church of Broussard officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday February 6, 2014 from 10:00AM until time of services at First Baptist Church of Broussard. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.

A native of West Virginia and a resident of Lafayette Phil passed away Saturday February 1, 2014 at Lafayette General Hospital. He was a Veteran of the US Army.

Survivors include his two sons Ron and his wife Jane Phelps of Hot Spring Arkansas, and Danny Phelps of Couteau; three granddaughters Carina and Tiffany Phelps both of Lafayette, and Reana Phelps of Atlanta Ga.; two brothers Ebert and Eugene Phillips of PA; two sisters Mary Moore and Shirley Callison both of PA.

Phil was preceded in death by his wife Betty Sue Phillips; his parents Ira Guy and Amanda Baxter Phillips.
