Loreauville " Funeral services will be conducted for Francis Otis Trahan, 65, on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982 and the U.S. Navy Funeral Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Friday, January 10, 2014, beginning at 3:00 P.M. until services, the funeral home will remain open all night. A native and resident of Loreauville, Mr. Trahan passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at 2:00 PM in a New Iberia hospital. He was a Veteran of the Viet Nam Era having served in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Trahan was a sociable person with many friends, loved his family and was a great father. He is survived by his children, David Trahan and his wife Denise, Michael Marshall and his wife Mary, Rebbecca Landry and her husband Lynn all of New Iberia and Michelle Boudreaux and her husband Jerry of Loreauville; his brothers, Howard Joe Trahan and his wife Lucy, Craig Bob Trahan and his wife Bridgette all of Loreauville and Raymond Charles Trahan and his wife Dawn of Lydia; his sisters, Linda Theriot and her husband Jimmie, Lena Estave and her husband Ernest, Ethel Foreman and her husband Jeff and Anita Fred Louviere and her husband David all of Loreauville; his grandchildren, Tasha Boudreaux, Josh Boudreaux, Hunter Broussard, Haley Broussard, Kristen Landry, Timothy Clark, Katelyn Clark, Nicholas Venable, Jacob Vead and Cheyenne Vead; his former wife, Kaye Charlie Nora and his companion, Sherry Jeski both of New Iberia. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Trahan, Jr. and Yola Mae Courville Trahan and his brother, Brian Boudin Trahan. Pallbearers will be Jerry Boudreaux, Jacob Vead, David Trahan, Jeff Foreman, Michael Marshall and Bob Trahan.
