A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Una Langlinais Carlin, 91, will be held at 3:30PM on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 9:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native and resident of Erath, Mrs. Una died at 6:35AM on January 15, 2014 at Eastridge Nursing Home after a long and happy life. Mrs. Carlin was born on November 5th 1922 at the home of her parents Remus and Elida Langlinais. She was the wife of Robert Carlin, Sr. for 46 years. She was a loving, giving, and kind mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Ladies Altar Society. She is survived by three sons, Robert Carlin, Jr. and his wife Billie Carlin of Laughlin, NV, Danny Carlin and his wife Kellie Carlin of The Woodlands, TX, and Joel Carlin and his wife Donna Carlin of Erath, LA; a sister, Ella Jane Dore of Erath; a brother, Norvin Langlinais of Erath; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carlin, Sr.; two sons, Erwin Carlin and Lonnie Carlin; her parents, Remus and Elida Langlinais; two sisters, Enila LeBlanc, Wilmae Dartez, and three brothers Wilfred Langlinais, Curlis Langlinais, and Ulysse Langlinais. Serving as pallbearers will be Drew Carlin, Jed Carlin, Brian Carlin, Taylor Carlin, Tim Dore, and Jason Dore. The family would like to thank the staff at Eastridge Nursing Home and St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care and assistance. The family would also like to thank her caregiver Mandy LeBlanc. Also a special thanks to her sister Jane Dore for all her love and boundless support. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Joseph Hospice of Acadiana.
