Rosa Mae Thibodeaux Prince

October 6, 1922 — July 10, 2011

Today the Angels came our way and carried our precious Mom away. To a place where she will know no more pain. A place where she can smile again, a place called Heaven. Lydia " Funeral services for Mrs. Harold E. Prince, Sr., the former Rosa Mae Thibodeaux, age 88, will be conducted on Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Msgr. Jace Eskind of Lake Charles, LA and Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Mausoleum. Visitation will begin on Tuesday July 12, 2011 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 8:00 AM until service. Mrs. Prince passed away Sunday July 10, 2011 at 11:45 PM at her residence in Lydia. Mrs. Prince was a member of the Lydia Homemaker Club, she loved arts and crafts. She was a kinder garden teacher on Weeks Island for 5 years. Mrs. Prince worked for the U.S. Post Office as a clerk in New Iberia from 1970 to 1979 then became Post Master in Lydia from 1979 until retirement in 1984. She is survived by her children: Paula Prince Dooley, Harold (Bubbie) Prince, Jr. and wife Sherry both of Lydia, Ricky M Prince and wife Michelle of Parks, daughter-in-law: Myra Prince of Lydia, two sisters: Priscilla T. Fondren of Lydia, Bernice Nicky Guillory of Mamou, five brothers: Raymond Thibodeaux (Godchild), Junius Thibodeaux, Jr., Juluis Butch Thibodeaux all of Lydia, Kenneth Thibodeaux of Glouster, Mass. , Oris Thibodeaux of Houma, eight grandchildren: Doyle Dooley and wife Delean of Youngsville, Jessica Prince of New Iberia, Janna P. Broussard and husband Reggie of Lydia, Lizette P. Breaux and husband Mike of Delcambre, Dawn Dooley Willis and husband Tim of St. Martinville, Hallie P. Guillotte and husband Chad of Loreauville, Shawn Prince and wife Tiffany of Parks, Gene Prince and wife Michelle of Lydia, fifteen great grandchildren: Jerret Dooley of Youngsville, Brooke Dooley of Youngsville, Logan Rose Willis of St. Martinville, Jacob Willis of St. Martinville, Trevor Broussard of Lydia, Trenton Broussard of Lydia, Kade Breaux of Delcambre, Kody Breaux of Delcambre, Karson Breaux of Delcambre, Shalyn Rabeaux of New Iberia, Makenzie Broussard of New Iberia, Shaw Guillotte of Loreauville, Cameron Guillotte of Loreauville, Holland Prince of Lydia, Talon Prince of Parks. She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold E. Prince, Sr., son: Ralph Prince, grandson: Jeremy Prince, Parents: Junius and Emma Thibodeaux, Sr., Sisters: Bertha T. Walker, Margaret Francis T Luent, Gwen T. Ardeneaux. Serving as pallbearers will be Harold Bubbie Prince, Jr., Rickey M. Prince, Paula Prince Dooley, Raymond Thibodeaux, Gene Prince, Shawn Prince, Doyle Dooley, Jr., Trevor Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Trenton Broussard, Jerret Dooley, Kade Breaux, Kody Breaux, Karson Breaux, Shaw Guillotte, Jacob Willis, Talan Prince, Michelle Prince, Sherry Prince, Myra Prince. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donation be made to: St. Theresa Hospice, 100 General Mouton, Lafayette, Louisiana-70501 (337)232-0269.
