Gaynell D. Ardizone

January 6, 1938 — January 9, 2014

Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Stephen J. Ardizone, the former Gaynell Deare, 76, on Friday, January 10, 2014, at 1:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 10, 2014, from 9:00 AM until services.

A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Ardizone passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at 6:45 AM in a New Iberia nursing facility. She was a retired bookkeeper, an avid reader, a caregiver and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Mark Ardizone and his wife Kristine, Douglas Ardizone, Stephanie Marie Ardizone all of New Iberia and Angela Migues and her husband Damon of Jeanerette; her sisters, Julaine Schexnayder and Mary Dean LeBlanc both of New Iberia; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. Ardizone; her parents, Earl Deare, Sr. and Olive Hebert Deare and her brother, Earl Deare, Jr..

Pallbearers will be Damon Migues, Benjamin Napier, Christopher Napier, Nicholas Trahan, Isby Schexnayder and Alfred Migues.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Ardizone.
