Lyllian Jean Jones

March 16, 1932 — February 2, 2014

Lafayette " A celebration of the life of Lyllian Jean Dumesnil Jones, 81, will be held Thursday at 2:00PM at the Church of the Assumption, in Franklin, with Father Lloyd Benoit officiating. A native of Franklin and a resident of Lafayette, Jean passed away Sunday February 2, 2014 at her residence. Survivors include her two sons James P. Jones of Baton Rouge, and Robert M. Jones of Lafayette; her granddaughter Alexis Elizabeth Jones of Franklin; two sisters Barbara D. Delahoussaye of Crowley, and Myra D. Mouton of Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Alexander S. Jones Jr.; her son Alexander S. Jones III; her parents Hilton Telemarque Dumesnil and Beulah Poche Dumesnil, and brother Hilton Putch Dumesnil; and sister Sarah D. Blakesley.
