Lafayette " Funeral Services for Mrs. Joseph Sellers, Sr. the former Willa Mae Baudoin, 81, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Milton with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 10:00AM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. A native of Youngsville and a resident of Lafayette Mrs. Sellers died at 10:05PM on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at her residence. She was known for her enjoyment of working with flowers and taking care of her grandchildren. She was also a promoter of the Miraculous Medal for over 50 years and worked as a clerk at Woolworth's Department Store. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Sellers, Sr. of Lafayette; six sons, Oran Jude Sellers and his wife Charleen of Broussard, Keith Steven Sellers of Youngsville, Anthony Sellers, Sr. of Lafayette, Joseph Sellers, Jr. and his wife Susan of Milton, David Alex Sellers and his wife Tina of Waynesboro, PA, and Paul Chester Sellers of Lafayette; three daughters, Wanda Jo LeBlanc and her husband Kim of Scott, Zelda Mae Gautreaux of Lafayette, and Linda Ann Tacorchick and her husband Troy of Rayne; a brother, Charlie Theriot; three sisters, Barbara Simon, Camella Chopin, and Wanda Cormier; nineteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and her beloved pet, Lexi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dua and Heloise Hebert Baudoin; a sister, Velma Guarino, a son in law, Richard Kidder; and a grandson, Anthony Sellers, Jr.. Serving as pallbearers will be Oran Jude Sellers, Keith Steven Sellers, Anthony Sellers, Sr., Joseph Sellers, Jr., Troy Tacorchick, and David Alex Sellers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Paul Chester Sellers. The family has request in lieu of flowers donation be made to Hospice of Acadiana. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
