Henry " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Octa Meyers the former Lola Pullin, 95, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, December 23, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church of Henry with Fr. Emmanuel Hernandez officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 23, 2013 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A native and lifelong resident of Henry, Mrs. Meyers died at 1:15AM on Friday, December 20, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family. She is a lifetime member of St. Johns Ladies Altar Society. She was known as a devout catholic who spent most of her time reading scriptures and praying for others. She was also known for her enjoyment of reading; her devoted care for her parents; and spending time with her children and grand children. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Hasemann and her husband Gregory of Henry and Barbara Marcotte of Henry; two grandchildren, Andrew Hasemann and his wife Amy and Michelle Marcotte Reaux and her husband Dale; five great grandchildren, Addison Hasemann, Alex Hasemann, Lyndsay Dubois, Jed Reaux, and Ellie Reaux; and one great great grandchild, Nate Dubois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Octa Meyers; and her parents, Charles and Elmita Dubois Pullin. Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Hasemann, Dale Reaux, Jed Reaux, Benjamin Dubois, Jim Domingues, Phillipe Saunier.
