Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Rudy Boudreaux, 76, will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Fr. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 9:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum.

A Native of Lafayette and a former resident of Abbeville, Mr. Boudreaux died at 10:20PM on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Toledo Retirement and Rehabilitation Center in Zwolle. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force and was known for his enjoyment of Fishing, Hunting, Dancing, Gardening, and spending time with his dog Pookie . Mr. Rudy was also the founder and former owner of Cashway Pharmacy in Abbeville.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Parrie Boudreaux of Converse, LA; six daughters, Kimber Lea Moresi of Abbeville, Kay Nezwek of Coral Springs, FL, Kristi Boudreaux of Abbeville, Kallen Belanger of Erath, Kera Baca of Abbeville, and Kendra Domingue of Lafayette; a brother, Paul Boudreaux; a sister, Peggy Worley; a step son, Joseph P. Etheridge; three step daughters, Lisa Fountain, Melinda Bertrand, and Stephanie Wiatt; thirteen grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Marie Wiltz Boudreaux; his parents, Joseph and Mary Grace Broussard Boudreaux; and a sister, Pearl Shemroske.

Serving as pallbearers will be Zayne Greene, Bernard Wiltz, III, Ryan Wiltz, Erik Belanger, Joseph Etheridge, and Francisco Baca.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bernard Wiltz, Jr. and Gerald Broussard.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to a local Hospice Group.

David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St. (337)893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
