Merle Henry Ruff

July 3, 1925 — December 7, 2013

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Merle Henry Ruff, 88, on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Matt Woollett, Pastor of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, officiating. Enurnment will be at a later date at Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 10:00 AM until services.

He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army / Air Force. He was a 1951 Graduate of Ohio State University, a member of the Ohio State Alumni Association, Spanish Trail Golf Club, Pioneer Oil Field People, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Chevron Texaco Association and was a Petroleum Engineer Consultant.

He is survived by his daughters, Kim R. Falcon and her husband Wayne and Pat R. Langlinais and her husband Norbert all of Lafayette and his grandchildren, Nicholas and Christopher Falcon.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Matilka Twinkle Szajko Ruff; his parents, Henry Michael Ruff, Jr. and Emma Rose Minnich Ruff; his brother, Henry Ruff and his sister Ruth Lawrence.
