Jacque "Jack" Braquet

July 23, 1925 — February 7, 2014

Loreauville " Funeral services will be conducted for Jacque J. Jack Braquet, 88, on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 8, 2014, from 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 AM. A native and resident of Loreauville, Mr. Braquet died on Friday, February 7, 2014, at 4:30 AM in a New Iberia nursing facility. He loved music, going to the casino, traveling, people and family. He is survived by his sisters, Amy Peltier and Margaret Bonin both of Loreauville; his nieces, Donna Davis and Cindy Trimble and his nephews, Curt, Chad and Grady LeBlanc, Dana Louviere, Kent and Lon Bonin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Celestine Landry Braquet; his sister, Yvonne LeBlanc and his brothers, Francis and Emile Crochet. Pallbearers will be Raymond Hebert, Kent Bonin, Dusty Louviere, Derek Louviere, Curt LeBlanc and Lon Bonin. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Affiliated Blind of Louisiana at 409 W. St. Mary Blvd. Lafayette, LA 70506. David Funeral Home of Loreauville, 118 Main St. (337) 229-8338 is in charge of arrangements.
