Broussard " Funeral Services for Mr. Curtis Francis Romero, 78, will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kerry Bellard officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 10:30AM until service time. Interment will follow the services at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. A native of Coteau and resident of Broussard, Mr. Romero passed away at 3:04PM on Sunday, July 17, 2011. He enjoyed cooking, eating and gardening. He is survived by his children, Myrna Romero and Priscilla Romero Hall, both of Lafayette, Cirk Romero of Maui, Hawaii, Chris Romero and wife Deidre of Baton Rouge and Keith Romero and wife Deborah of Diamond Bar, California; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Allen Romero, Barbara Broussard, Belver Lopez, Brenda Bourque, Kenneth Romero, Linda Bernard and Bridget Labatut. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvelien and Eula Hulin Romero; and four siblings, Ronald Romero, Nellie Tujague, Carol Romero, Sr. and Earline Comeaux. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Gerad Comeaux, Ryan Romero, Jason Savoy, Carol Romero, Jr., Leon Romero, Larry Foreman, Brock Romero, Colby Neal and Tommy Landry. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Highway, (337) 837-9887, is in charge of arrangements.
