Wayne Charles Prince

New Iberia- Memorial services will be conducted for Wayne Charles Prince, age 60, Tuesday July 5, 2011 at 11:00am at St. Josephs Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery.

A native of Bridge City, TX and resident of Lafayette, Mr. Prince died Saturday July 2, 2011 at 7:30am at a local health care facility. Wayne was a strong willed person with unyielding determination to live. He enjoyed everything life had to offer. Wayne was biblically knowledgeable and his most cherished verse was 23rd Psalm. He was conversant with worldly and present political views. Waynes hobbies included reading, watching Fox News and spending time with his family.

Mr. Prince is survived by his daughters, Marian Laughlin and husband David of Lafayette; and Nichol Prince and companion Allen Menard of Rayne; and his son, Chad Prince and wife Jamie of Lafayette; sisters, Theresa Girourard Allen and husband Donald of Kingston, OK; Linda Patterson and Marie Babin, both of Port Arthur, TX; brothers, L.J. Girourard and wife Sylvia of Loreauville; Martin Mel LaFleur and Robert LaFleur, Sr., both of Port Arthur, TX; grandchildren, Brittany, Paige, Brooke, Tabitha, Madison, Daelyn, Alexandra, Dallas, Miles, Gabrielle, Joslyn, and Evan; one great grandchild, Payton. Mr. Prince is also survived by his best friend, Barbara Coullion of Lafayette.

Mr. Prince was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Marian Fornet Prince and Junius and Louise Chataignier Girourard, and one brother, Butch Prince.
