John Lee Colquitt

June 28, 1957 — July 8, 2011

John John Boy Colquitt, 54 John Lee passed away in his home on July 8th. He was born on June 28th, 1957 in Kemah, Texas to a Lelia & Newell Colquitt, Mr. & Mrs. Cooter Brown . He was a dedicated worker in the seafood industries, and was loved by many. He enjoyed being close to the waterfront, and spending weekends on his ranch. John Boy graduated from Clear Creek High in 1976, and was a Kemah councilman in the late 1970s when Kemah was a booming fishing, shrimping, and oyster community. He is survived by a loving companion Glenda McCrimmon ; daughter, Katlynn Colquitt; son Jason Padilla; 2 Sisters, Lena Jacks & Brenda Tomlinson; Brother Newell Colquitt, Jr.; three adorable grandchildren, and countless family & friends. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, brother and niece. Services will be held at the Bon Weir Baptist Church off Hwy. 190 in Bon Weir, TX on Wednesday 13th, at 10 A.M.
