Erath " Funeral Services for William P. Viator, 56, will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Erath with Fr. Lege officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native of New Iberia and a resident of Erath Mr. Viator died at 3:30AM on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. He retired at serving over 34 years in law enforcement having worked for New Iberia Police Department, Delcambre Police Department, and Erath Police Department. William was known for his enjoyment of hunting, fishing, working in his yard, and watching birds. He is survived by his wife, Samantha Gautreaux Viator of Erath; three sons, Lance Viator of Erath, Chris T-Boy Dyson of Erath, and Blake Dyson of Maurice; six daughters, Kelli Lasalle of Erath, Marcia Bourque of Erath, Sharelle Romero of Erath, Rachel Wilson of Abbeville, Lacey Dyson of Erath, and Amber Dyson of Abbeville; three brothers, Rodrick Viator of Maurice, Ricky Viator of New Iberia, and Chad Viator of New Iberia; and a host of grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Goldie Louviere Viator; and a brother, Steve Viator. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Dyson, Cody Buford, Daniel Bourque, John Harrington, Lance Viator, and Brett Viator, David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
