Bobbie Shows Lovell

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Carl Odell Lovell the former Bobbie Shows, Age 82, at 2:00PM Saturday July 16, 2011 at David Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. David Denton will officiate. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday July 15, 2011 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and again Saturday from 9:00AM until service time. A native of Laurel, Mississippi and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Lovell died Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 7:46PM at Lafayette General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Lovell was Office Manager of Bruce Foods Corporation for over 30 years. She was also a Sunday School teacher at Highland Baptist Church for 25 years instructing 3rd and 4th graders. Bobbie was a woman of great faith and prayer. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Carla Lovell Hodge and husband Glenn of New Iberia and their children, Carl Hodge and wife Elizabeth of Lafayette and James Hodge of Ruston. Mrs. Lovell was preceded in death by her husband Carl O. Lovell and her parents, Ed and Eva Ishee Shows. Pallbearers will be Glenn, Carl and James Hodge, Glen LeBlanc, Floyd Curry and William Bujard.
