New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Kearney Robichaux, the former, Gertie Geoffroy age 76, Saturday July 16, 2011 at 10:00am at David Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Neel officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday July 15, 2011 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will resume Saturday July 16, 2011 from 8:00AM until service. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Robichaux died Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 11:30pm at a local health care facility. Loving wife, mother and grandmother; Gertie was a spiritual woman who entrusted every aspect of her life to the Lord. Everyone who knew Gertie experienced her faith and felt the endowment of her peace, love and generosity upon them. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family; she also enjoyed reading especially her bible. Mrs. Robichaux is survived by her daughters, Liz Alford and husband Daryl of New Iberia; Ellen Landry and husband Barry of New Iberia; Laura LeBlanc and husband Steve of Lafayette and Jill Stoltz of New Iberia; her sons, Kirk Robichaux and wife Renee of Sunset; Stephen Robichaux and wife Norma of Breaux Bridge; Randy Robichaux and wife Mary of New Iberia and Kevin Robichaux and wife Judy of Lafayette; her sisters, Susan Allen and husband Ray and Joan Radford and husband Mike, all of Lafayette; her brothers, Lloyd Geoffroy, Jr. and wife Jan of Cade; Ronald Geoffroy and wife Claudia of New Iberia; Conway Geoffroy and wife Diane of Lafayette; Dale Geoffroy and wife Jenny of Metairie; Larry Geoffroy of Lafayette and Bryan Geoffroy and wife Mandy of New Iberia; her sister-in-law, Margie Geoffroy of New Iberia; 22 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren andanotherexpected soon. Mrs. Robichaux was preceded in death by her husband, Kearney Robichaux, her parents, Lloyd Geoffroy, Sr. and Nina Hebert Geoffroy, sister, Elaine Cole and brother, Carroll Geoffroy. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Geoffroy, Bryan Geoffroy, Conway Geoffroy, Larry Geoffroy, Stephen Robichaux, Randy Robichaux and Kevin Robichaux.
