Lafayette- A Memorial Service for Loalee Chachere Gratehouse, 87, will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, at 3:00PM Sunday, July, 17, 2011 with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. A brief Gathering of Family and Friends will take place following the service. A native of Opelousas and a longtime resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Gratehouse passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Lafayette General Hospital. She was employed by Union Oil Company here in Lafayette prior to her retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Debra G. Mayo and her grand-daughter, Millie Mayo both of Arvada, CO; brother, Ike Chachere and his wife, Gladys of Opelousas, LA; nephew, Scott Chachere and his wife Catherine ; one great niece, Katie Chachere; one great nephew, Scotty Chachere all of Denham Springs, LA and her beloved dog, Heidi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike Chachere, Sr. and Lorraine Chachere and her sister, Irene C. Bush.
