Broussard- Funeral Services will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, for Percy J. DeJean, 74, on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 3:00PM with Reverend Louis Richard, Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard officiating the service. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Saturday, July 16, 2011 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 8:00AM and continue until just prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Calvary Cemetery. A native of Breaux Bridge, LA and a longtime resident of Broussard, Mr. DeJean passed away on Friday July 15, 2011 at Lafayette General Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great -grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Juanita Hebert DeJean of Broussard; son, Terry DeJean and his wife Lynnette of Delcambre, LA; daughter, Terrill Racca and her husband Carroll of Mt. Enterprise, TX; son, Jason DeJean and his wife Jami of Lafayette, LA; ten grandchildren, Terry Dale DeJean, Jr. of Delcambre, LA, Krystal Olivier and her husband, Phillip of Decambre, LA, Heather DeJean of Scott, Tiffany DeJean of Delcambre, LA, Tanya Glenn and her husband Jason of Hummelstown, PA, Rachel Lockridge and her husband, Chris of Henderson, TX, Desiree Costlow and her husband Matt of Henderson, TX, Megan DeJean of Lafayette, LA, Madelyn DeJean of Lafayette, LA, Mia DeJean of Lafayette, LA; 15 great-grandchildren, Tirney DeJean , Ashton DeJean, Aivery DeJean, Caine DeJean, Claire Olivier and Isabella Olivier all of Delcambre, LA, Curtis DeJean, Caelee Gatti, Colton Gatti all of Scott, LA, Triston DeJean of Delcambre, LA , Faith Racca and Cara Lockridge both of Henderson, TX, Madison Glenn of Hummelstown, PA, Krista Lockridge of Henderson TX, , and Champion Glenn of Hummelstown, PA; three sisters, Emily Savant of Coteau, LA, Linda Landry of Arnaudville, LA , Betty Shell of Lafayette, LA; two brothers, Rudy Begnaud of Broussard and Melvin Begnaud of Carencro, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Theresa DeJean LeBlanc and two brothers, Brady Begnaud and Andrus Begnaud. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry DeJean, Jr., Rudy Begnaud, Matt Costlow, Chris Lockridge, Wayne LeBlanc and Phillip Olivier. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Begnaud and Darrel Guidry.
