Lafayette - A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Bill Jerry Pittman, Jr., 57, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 13, 2011, in David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Highway with Reverend Humphries officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00AM. Graveside services will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster, MS, under the direction of Brown Funeral Home. Bill Jerry Pittman, Jr., passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Jerry was born in Gloster, MS, on October 19, 1953, and moved to Natchez, MS, during his childhood years. He is a graduate of Natchez High School and moved to Lafayette, LA, with his family in 1989. His avid love for fishing, hunting, family, friends, and life will be remembered most of all. His humor and laughter touched people (even nurses) up until his very last days. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Regina Golden Pittman; his daughter, Melissa Pittman Goudeau; and his son, Clinton Lucius Pittman; his brother, Bobby Ellender; and his sister, Judy P. Jones; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Emogene Hastings Pittman, and Bill Jerry Pittman, Sr. Pallbearers are Ronnie Porter, Lane Browning, David Jones, Robert Jones, Bobby Ellender, Jr., and Marvin Dumesnil.
