Coteau " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Sexon J. Labit, Sr. the former Jeanette Huval, Age 79, at 11:30AM Tuesday March 27, 2012 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday March 27, 2012 from 8:30AM until service time. A native of Loreauville and longtime resident of Coteau, Mrs. Labit died Sunday March 25, 2012 at 6:00PM at Iberia Medical Center. Mrs. Labit was a school bus aid for the Iberia Parish School Board. She was a member of the Ladies Altar society and she enjoyed cooking, baking, camping and visiting with friends and relatives. Survivors include her children, Karen Faye L. Comeaux and husband Kevin and Sexon Joseph Labit Jr. all of Coteau; one brother, Joseph Huval and one sister, Loretta H. Dressel both of Loreauville; grandchildren, Kristi Lynne Comeaux Wimberley and husband Lucas of Church Point, Lacie Labit Boutte and husband Blake of Youngsville and Tiffy Labit Wynn and husband Tommy of Bossier City and two great granddaughters and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband Sexon Joseph Labit Sr.; a son, Brian Joseph Labit, Sr.; her parents, Preston Jean Huval and Agnes Trahan Huval; a grandson, Brian Joseph Labit, Jr. and a sister, Genevieve Huval. Pallbearers will be Bernard Barilleaux, Donald Romero, Michael Oubre, Marty Trahan, Kevin Dore and Kenneth Labit. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St. New Iberia, La.
