Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Nell Romero, 72, will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday August 30, 2012 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, LA with Rev. Tom Voohries, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette Thursday morning beginning at 11:00AM and will continue until just prior to service time. Interment will follow church services at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. A native of Youngsville, LA and a resident of Scott, LA, Ms. Romero passed away at 8:25AM on Friday August 24, 2012 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Louis Joseph Jackson; five children, Debbie Benoit Sadreddini, Mona Hebert, Timothy Joseph Benoit, Jason Jackson and Tessie Jackson Menard; two brothers, Vincent Romero and Gerald Romero as well as one sister, Barbara Romero Thibodeaux; thirteen grandchildren; nine great -grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Diedier Romero and Elodia Touchet Romero, one son, Tommy James Benoit and one brother, Shirley Romero.
