Verna Dronet Soirez
November 25, 1925 — January 7, 2013
A native of Erath, Verna passed away at Pelican Point Nursing Center on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 5:50AM. She was retired from the Vermilion Parish School Board as a Cafeteria Manager.
She is survived by a son, Michael Soirez and his wife, Nelwyn of Abbeville, LA, Two daughters; Lona Romero and her husband, Johnny, and Deanna Soirez of Erath; one sister, Lois D. Leblanc, of Erath. She was also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawless Soirez, and her parents, Relie and Clothile Vincent Dronet.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Soirez, Brennan Soirez, Jake Renard, Brandon Renard, Duff Renard , and Terry Leblanc.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her doctors, the staff of Southern Care Hospice, and the staff of Pelican Pointe Nursing Home.
