Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Eves Joseph Bouillion, 87, will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 8:00Am until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native of Vermilion Parish and a resident of Erath Mr. Bouillion died at 5:30AM on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He proudly served his country during World War II in the US Navy. He enjoyed baseball which he played and coached for years. He was instrumental in forming the Erath Bayou League/Erath Minor Youth Baseball League. After 38 years of service, he retired from Southern Pacific Railroad and became an avid golfer. He was also a lifetime member of American Legion Post 279 and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eloise Primeaux Bouillion of Erath; two sons, Kent Bouillion of Erath and Robert Bouillion and his wife Andrea of Erath; three daughters, Nina Landry and her husband Scott of Erath, Louisa Primeaux and her husband Daleon of Erath, and Donna Carlin and her husband Joel of Erath; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Villore and Elva Boudreaux Bouillion; and two brothers, Minos Bouillion and David Bouillion. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Bouillion, Kent Bouillion, Jeremy Soirez, Drew Carlin, Jed Carlin, and Cody Bouillion. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
