New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Freddie G. Haydell, Sr., the former Doris Decoux, 91, on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Patrick Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 9:00 AM until services and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. A native of Port Arthur, TX and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Haydell died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at 6:40 PM in a local nursing home. She enjoyed embroidering and sharing her work with family and friends. She is survived by her son, Freddie G. Haydell, Jr and his wife Diane; her daughter, Pauline H. Badeaux and her husband Jeff all of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Mike Haydell and his wife Deb, Patrick Haydell, Corey Haydell, Mark Haydell and his wife Jennifer, Brad Haydell and his wife Amelia, Cayce Badeaux McDaniel and her husband Justin, Bart Badeaux and Kim Frazier and her great grandchildren, Michael, Danielle, Ashley, Justin, Noah, Caroline Haydell, Madeleine Brown, Ava Williams and Christian Badeaux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie G. Haydell, Sr.; her parents, Maurice Decoux and Mary Feignant Decoux and her son, Michael Haydell. Pallbearers will be Mike, Patrick, Corey, Mark and Brad Haydell and Bart Badeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren. The family request memorials to the Sisters of Mount Carmel.
