New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Jarwin J. "JR" Bourque, Jr., 47, on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 1:30 PM at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Father Eugene Temie officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and resume on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 6:00 PM. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bourque died on Monday, March 31, 2014, at 2:06 PM upon arrival at a New Iberia hospital. He was employed at North American Salt Mine at Cote Blanche for 22 years. He truly loved mechanic work. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Star Hebert Bourque of New Iberia; his children, Brian Bourque, Alicia Bourque, Heather Hebert, Eric Dinette, Daphne Dinette, Blake Barras all of New Iberia and Dustin Renard of Abbeville; his brothers, Richard "Ricky" Bourque and his wife Emily, John "J. B." Bourque and his wife Regina and Raymond Bourque and his wife Suzette all of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Kyleigh Choate, Kaleb Segura and Isabella "Bella" Renard; his nephews, Dustin Bourque, Caleb Latiolais, Michael Bourque, Brandon Bourque and Brock Bourque; his nieces, Stacia Perez, Madalynn Bourque and Lacie Bourque; his niece and godchild, Blair Bourque; his godchildren, Laney Dinette and Edward Bourque; his best friend, David Cobb and his friends, Renny Darby and James Latiolais. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jarwin J. Bourque, Sr. and Carol Ann Schueler Bourque; his grandchild, Baby Hebert / Dupuis and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Pallbearers will be Richard, Raymond, John and Edward Bourque, David Cobb, Dustin Renard, Eric Dinette and Renny Darby. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin, Michael, Brandon and Brock Bourque and Kaleb Segura.
