Armance Emonet

December 19, 1923 — April 26, 2014

Loreauville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Armance Emonet, age 90, on Wednesday April 30, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 2:00pm with Father Buddy Breaux to serve as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Loreauville beginning Wednesday April 30, 2014 at 8:30am with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00am. A native of Leonville, and former resident of Loreauville, Ms. Emonet passed away on Saturday April 26, 2014 at 6:50am at Maison Du Monde in Abbeville. Ms. Emonet enjoyed spending time with her family and drinking coffee and visiting with friends. She was quiet, reserved, and loving. She had a big heart, and cared for her mother and brother for many years. Ms. Emonet is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arcade and Alida Laviolette Emonet; brothers, Placide, Hervey, and Rodney Emonet Sr.; and sisters, Gladys Tauzin and Pearl Bergeron. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Billy Emonet, Dylan Emonet, Rodney Emonet Jr., Eddie Israel, Clyde Bergeron, and Wayne Amy. The family would like to thank the staff at Maison Du Monde as well as Heart of Hospice for the care and compassion given to Ms. Emonet.
