Carolyn "Tina" Ancelet, 69, died in the privacy of her home Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 10:26 am in the arms of her daughter, Pam, with Bonnie and Nicky, her beloved pets, at her feet. Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Cormier Hebert, father Silas Ancelet, and brothers Francis Ray "Butch" Hebert and Gerald Lee Ancelet. Surviving family include; her daughter Pam Frey, son-in-law Brian Frey, granddaughter Katie Leigh Frey, grandson Army Captain Colby Quinn Frey and his wife Sarah Frey, great grandson Carson Quinn Frey, her life long and childhood friend Sandy McCann, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and a world of friends. Tina was a native of Lafayette, LA, a born again Christian and an avid horse racing fan. Some of Tina's happiest moments in life were spent with her daughter, Pam, at equestrian shows where she was the proud mother. Tina loved to cook and entertain, especially the annual spring crawfish boil for her many friends. Tina was especially proud of her grandson Colby - his graduation from Tulane, his qualities as a husband and father, and for his military service and accomplishments. Evangeline Veterinary Clinic will not be the same without Tina at the front desk. For over twenty years she was a loyal employee and friend to Dr. Bill Lambert and his wife, Bettie. She cared so much about the clients of the clinic and their animals. Tina was truly amazing in her interactions with all animals and their owners, never forgetting a name. Prior to her work at Evangeline Veterinary Clinic, Tina was a beloved employee of Les Amis where she never met a stranger. Tina leaves her family and friends with many good stories of her kindness to man and animals. It was Tina's request to be cremated and her ashes scattered at a location that was dear to her. Tina's specific request was that "no wake nor memorial/funeral services be held."
