ABBEVILLE - Funeral services for Willie Edward "Sonny" Smith Jr. age 72 will be held Saturday September 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in David Funeral Home. Father Balachandra Miriyala will officiate. Visitation will be Friday September 19, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath. A native of Whitestone, VA and a longtime resident of Abbeville, Sonny passed away Wednesday September 10, 2014 in a Lafayette hospital.
