Erath - Funeral Services for Mrs. Benjamin Rawlins the former Elizabeth Olander, 81, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the First United Pentecostal Church of Lydia with Pastor Ronnie Perkins officiating. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 8:00AM until 10:30AM. A lifelong resident of Louisa, Mrs. Rawlins died at 5:05AM on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Abbeville General Hospital. She is survived by a son, Jonathan Rawlins of Erath; two daughters, Angela Morgan and her husband Willie of Erath and Melanie Sammons and her husband John Louie of Dublin, GA; three grandchildren, Natasha Robertson and her husband John, Ross Morgan and his wife Hannah, and Amy Richard and her husband Haiden; five great grandchildren, Brooks Morgan, Bailey Morgan, Avri Robertson, Lexi Robertson, Dylan Robertson, and one on the way; a brother, Edward Olander of Cypremort Point; and two sisters, Rita Simon of Pasadena, TX and Dorothy Romero of Youngsville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Benjamin Rawlins who preceded her by four weeks; her parents, Andrew Olander, Sr. and Francis Rolkoski Olander; a daughter, Sheryl Marie Rawlins; four brothers, Sylvester Olander, Steve Olander, Andrew "Junior" Olander, Jr., and Leo Olander; and three sisters, Elenora Hartman, Helen Roy, and Alberta Borel who preceded her by 26 hours. Serving as pallbearers will be Roland Olander, Thomas Olander, Nicholas Olander, John Simon, Randal Romero, and Ross Morgan. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brooks Morgan, Rodney Olander, and Daniel Simon. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ronald Lahasky, Eastridge Nursing Home, and nursing staff at Abbeville General for the exceptional care they gave Mrs. Rawlins.
