Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Genevieve "Jenny" Dugas Rabassa, 87, will be held Thursday April 16, 2015 at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville, with Fr. Chester Arceneaux officiating. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum in Erath. Visitation will be held Wednesday April 15, 2015 from 11:00AM until 10:00PM with a Divine Mercy Chaplet recited at 3:00PM and a Rosary recited at 7:00PM, visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until time of Service. Jenny was a native of Henry and a resident of Abbeville; she passed away Sunday April 12, 2015 at her residence. She was a Board Member for the Dairy Festival, member of the Lions Club, Vermilion Parish District Coordinator for the March of Dimes, Bay City Ramblers Camping Club, Good Sam's Camping Club, St. Theresa Ladies Altar Society, and she was on the Board of the Vermilion Association for Physical Handicap. Survivors include two sons Floyd J. Rabassa III and his wife Dianna of Erath, and Darryl and his wife Leah Rabassa of Erath; her daughter Suzanne and her husband Glynn Pellerin of Centerville La.; her grandchildren Todd and his wife Jennifer Rabassa, Tina and her husband Jack Merrill, Nicholas Rabassa, April Rabassa, Samantha Rabassa, Christopher Rabassa, Heather Rabassa, Marcus Pellerin, Brother Michael Mary "Damien", Jean Paul Pellerin, Angelle Howell, and Joe'l Pellerin; her great grandchildren Zackary Merrill, Clair Merrill, Alex Rabassa, Sidney Rabassa, Danielle Rabassa, Madison Rabassa, Rose Howell, Joseph Howell, Claire Pellerin, and Hayden John Michael Lemaire. Jenny was preceded in death by her Husband Floyd Rabassa Jr.; her parents Cestia and Noelie Thibodeaux Dugas; daughter Jane Marie Rabassa; three grandchildren Travis and Michael Rabassa, and Monique Michelle Pellerin; and her brother Joseph R. Dugas and her godchild Barbara Lane Boudoin. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Rabassa, Nicholas Rabassa, Todd Rabassa, Marcus Pellerin, Jean Paul Pellerin, and Joe'l Pellerin.
