Catherine Pratt Zenon

? Abbeville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Catherine Pratt Zenon, 91, will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Fr. Chester Arceneaux officiating.  The interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

The visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

Mrs. Zenon, a native of St. Martinville and a resident of Abbeville, died at 8:20AM on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her residence.  She was known for being a devote Catholic who loved having her family around her and always made certain there was plenty for them to eat. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.  Mrs. Zenon was a former member of St. Theresa’s Gospel Choir; a member of St. Theresa’s Ladies Alter Society; and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Theresa Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, Walter J. Zenon, Jr. and his wife Della of Abbeville; three daughters, Laura Z. Lavergne and her husband Terry of New Iberia, Judith Z. Boutte of Jeanerette; and Cynthia Z. Fusilier and her husband Dwight of Abbeville; twelve grandchildren, Reginald Boutte, Kevin Boutte, Christine Boutte, Scott Boutte, Herb Boutte, Jeremy Zenon, Catherine F. Boutte, Elizabeth Zenon, Walter J. Zenon, III., Dwight Fusilier, Jr., Jesse Zenon, and Lauren Fusilier; and seven great grandchildren, Joshua Boutte, Brooke Boutte, Anthony Boutte, Jordan Boutte, Kade Boutte, Jaiya Zenon, and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Zenon, Sr.; her parents, Adolph and Aspasie Rochon Pratt; three brothers, Joseph Pratt, Leonard Pratt, and Adolph Pratt, Jr.; and two sisters, Josephine P. Detiege and Isabelle P. Arceneaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be Reginald Boutte, Kevin Boutte, Scott Boutte, Herb Boutte, Jeremy Zenon, Walter J. Zenon, III., Dwight Fusilier, Jr., and Jesse Zenon.
