Charles Ray Bell

Broussard - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Charles Ray Bell, 82, will be held 1:30PM on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Ruskoski officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.

A native of Youngsville and a resident of Broussard, Mr. Bell died at 6:25PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Maison de Lafayette. He proudly served his country in the US Army. After the Army he began a career as a welder than he was a carpenter for many years till he retired. He was known for his enjoyment of being with family; crabbing; and country music.

He is survived by two brothers, Malcolm Bell of Lafayette and Sidney Bell, Jr. and his wife Willa of Youngsville; a sister, Mona Cottam and her husband Ray of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Vice Bell; Parents, Sidney J. Bell, Sr. and Lizzie Bernard Bell; a brother, Robert Bell; two sisters, Annette Bernard and Bertha Lou Bellot; two sister in laws, Rosa Bell and Mabel Bell; two brother in laws, Alexis Bernard and Robert Bellot; and a niece, Brenda Bell.

Serving as pallbearers will be Albert Bell, Carl Bell, Mike Cottam, Cody Bell, Darren Vice, and Kevin Vice.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Sidney Bell, Jr., Malcolm Bell, Ray Cottam.

Lonnie Bell, Bryan Bell, Larry Bernard, and Blaine Cottam.
