John Cagle

Lafayette – Private memorial services for John E. Cagle, 66, will be held at a later date.

A New Orleans native, John served in the U.S. Army and then attended Xavier University. He graduated Cum Laude in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. He was a member of Alpha Epsilon and Rho Xi Scholastic fraternities. He also received the Merck Sharp and Dome award for medicinal chemistry.

John is survived by his beloved wife Florence of 43 years, daughter Jane; granddaughter Catalina; brothers James, William, Thomas, and Robert.

John was also a lifelong member of ECKANKAR.

Prior to his death John worked at Fred’s in St. Martinville.
