Shirley Labit Caillouet

Abbeville - Funeral services for Shirley Mae Caillouet, 79, will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 11:00AM-9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 9:00AM until time of services.

A native of Leroy and a resident of Henry, Mrs. Caillouet passed away at 11:00PM on Friday, November 11, 2016 at East Ridge Nursing Home of Abbeville. She had many enjoyments in her lifetime, such as cooking, catering, and volunteering at Abbeville General Hospital where she cared for the sick and elderly, but her favorite past time was spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Rudy Caillouet; three sons, Willard Caillouet and his wife Regina of Erath, Cody Caillouet and his wife Monique of Abbeville, Anthony Theriot and his wife Guadalupe of Abbeville; two daughters, Vickie Lemaire and her husband Dale of Abbeville, Sherry Suire and her husband Elton of Erath; seventeen Grandchildren, eighteen Great- Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Labit and Theresa Landry Hollier and two sons, Elias Doucet Jr. , and Francis Theriot; and granddaughter Tamara Doucet.

Serving as pallbearers will be Evan Caillouet, Willard Caillouet, Brody Suire, Kyle Lemaire, Miranda Doucet, and Pat Suire.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kane Frederick and Heath Doucet.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice.
