Nyron "Hurricane" Derouen

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Nyron G. “Hurricane” Derouen, 58, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2017 in the David Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 5, 2016, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Derouen passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at 4:45 PM upon arrival at Iberia Medical Center.

He loved riding his Harley and cooking for his family. He dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was one of a kind.

He is survived by his daughter, Rosalind McGregor and her husband Damon of Breaux Bridge; his grandchildren, Slade, Pierce, and Blair McGregor all of Breaux Bridge. He also leaves behind his companion of many years, Roxane Derouen of New Iberia. Also surviving are his sisters, Lonnie Derouen, Chris Touchet both of New Iberia and Mary Ann Gerard of Youngsville and his step-son, Manuel Rogers of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Derouen and Edna Theriot Derouen and his sister, Cina Dugan.
