Joyce D. Cartimiglia

New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Joyce D. Cartimiglia, 88, on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Rev. Garrett Savoie, Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Joyce passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Iberia Extended Care Hospital. She was a lover of animals, enjoyed shopping, reading and cooking.

She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Henderson and her husband Robert of Lake Charles and Kay Cartimiglia of New Iberia; son, Dale Cartimiglia and his wife Tina Pharr of New Iberia; grandchildren, Jon, Stuart and Mary Kate Henderson, Courtney Abshire, Kyle Cartimiglia and William Dane Cartimiglia; five great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Louis Cartimiglia; father, Ralph Dupree; mother, Ellie Derouen Dupree; step-father, Essie Bouillion; brother, Ralph Derouen; two sisters, Linda Delahoussaye and Betty Hebert.

Pallbearers will be Jon Henderson, Stuart Henderson, Gary Abshire, Kayle Cartimiglia, Dane Cartimiglia and Hayden Abshire.
