Shirley L. Landry

Jeanerette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Shirley L. Landry, age 90, will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating the mass. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00 PM.   Visitation will resume on Thursday, August 24 from 8:00 AM until the time of services at 10:00 AM.

A native of Iberia Parish and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Shirley went home to be with the Lord at 4:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Landmark Nursing Home.  She was the proud wife of a farmer and loved to cook for her family.  She devoted her life to praying and passionately lived to spend time with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed and will always remain in the hearts of her family.

She is survived by her son Reed Landry and his wife Gale, her son Wayne “Trucker” Landry and his wife Eleanor, her son Barry Landry and his wife Donna,  her daughter Kim Barashick and her husband Norman, her daughter Judy Broussard and her husband Robert, her grandchildren Ross Landry and his wife Michelle, Nanci Segura and husband Chad, Jeremy Landry and wife Jennifer, Janine Habbit and husband Jason, Heather White and husband Chance, Meagan Bourque and husband Rickey, Sarah Verret and her husband Heath, Adam Broussard and his wife Brooke, Kelsey Broussard and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years Mr. Adam Jules Landry , her parents Philip and Lucy Louviere Landry, her brother Freddie Landry, her sisters Cecile Dooley and Beverly Landry.

Upholding the honor of pallbearers will be Ricky Bourque, Ross Landry, Adam Broussard, Wayne Landry, Robert Broussard and Jeremy Landry.
