Janice Burke Mestayer

Loreauville – Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Kyle Mestayer, Sr., the former Janice Burke, 65, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Burial will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 9:00 AM until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 AM.

A native of Mansura, LA and a resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Mestayer passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017, at 2:38 PM at her residence.

She was employed by Fruit of the Loom for 20 years and was an avid reader. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Kyle Mestayer, Sr. of Loreauville; her mother, Joyce Marie Claverie Burke of Mansura; her daughter, Jaime Martin and her husband Terry of New Iberia; her son, Kyle Mestayer, Jr. and his wife Chantell of New Iberia and her grandchildren, Logan, Meagan, Jack David, William and Andrew Martin, Kylie Kay and Isabella Mestayer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Freddie Burke and her sister, Theresa Burke Lacombe.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Mestayer, Jr., Terry Martin, Jack David Martin, Aaron Mestayer, Stephen Lacombe, Terry Lacombe and Bryson Mestayer.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Travis Lacombe and Gregory Mestayer.
