Kenneth Joseph Pelous

Loreauville – Funeral services will be conducted for Kenneth Joseph Pelous, 75, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Godwin Nzh officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

A native and resident of Loreauville, Mr. Pelous passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 6:26 AM at Iberia Medical Center.

He retired as a Rigger Superintendent in the oil field industry. He enjoyed boating, being on the water and old cars. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Irene “T-Neg” Latiolais Pelous of Loreauville; his sons, Kim Pelous and his fiancee’ Chanda Duhon; Wilton Laviolette and his wife Cindy all of Loreauville and Kerry Pelous of Broussard; his sisters, Gloria Pelous of California, Delores Bonin and Faye Rebert both of Loreauville; his brothers, Robert Pelous, Sr., Curtis Pelous and Chris Pelous all of Loreauville; his grandchildren, Jake Pelous of Cecilia, Dustin Laviolette and his wife Danielle and Dylan Laviolette both of Loreauville and his great grandchildren, Chloe and Ellie Laviolette both of Loreauville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl Ann Quibodeaux Pelous; his father, Arthur “Togan” Pelous and his brother, David Pelous.

Pallbearers will be Wilton Laviolette, Dustin Laviolette, Kim Pelous, Jake Pelous, Michael Schouest and Jason Bonin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Picard, Jr. and Lance Viator.
